- Some questions frequently asked by houseowners : there are going to be lots of kids at my wedding ?
♥ and i want to have some things to keep them busy. my fiance and i are getting married on the beach and i'd like to get some beach-craft ideas (easy things that the young ones can do without much assistance) we're going to have a table set up for the kids to do the stuff on, (a specific table for kids-crafts) we'll put out some crayons and coloring pages for the kids of course.. one thing i thought of was to buy a bunch of white visors (hats).. , glue, and those little sea-shells (they sell them in craft stores, they're sometimes died different colors) and let the kids decorate their hats with sea shells as party favors for the kids we're going to give out those funky sunglasses. the bright colored ones that are shaped like hearts or stars,..etc.. also, bubbles! and for the little girls, princess wands. (i love fairy tales and princesses) we're also going to have plain white bags that the kids can decorate to keep their stuff in. (more details coming) white bags, like paper gift bags. they sell these things (the visors, bags, glue, even the mini-sea shells) in a magazine that gets sent to my house. they sell them in bulk and the prices are really cheap. 1 dozen visors for 5 dollars and 1 unit (100 count) of the white paper gift bags for 10 dollars any other good craft ideas? the youngest child will be about 2 years old..obviously needing close supervision for everything. notices will be posted reminding parents that they are responsible for their children, and asking them to please keep a close eye on them. many people will probably choose not to bring their kids (as maybe they'd like to relax that night plus 7pm - 11pm is kind of late for kids)what else are things you can doodle?

♥ hi, i'm a thirteen year old girl who loves to write. seriously, i'm known as 'the writer' in my class because i am working on my book/writing my journal 24/7. this book is called spirits, it's a young adult fantasy, and no it is not about vampires. if it's good enough, i would love it to get published some day in the future. please answer honestly, but not too harshly. i wrote the manuscript when i was twelve. this is a link to the (kind of weird) trailer i made for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwsi1xn55js and this isn't the beginning, it's the excerpt from a couple of pages in. by the way, fifteen-year-old seph and her mother just had a fight, and artemis and apollo are her younger sister and brother. after a bit mum went away, and i decided to look for things to amuse me. i found three little-kid books, no doubt belonging to one of the pests, one pack of cards, a rubber duck, and… while i was searching, i noticed the tiles of my bathroom were… almost… i stood up. yes - it actually was. darker blue tiles made up the iris and outline, and one tile in the middle was the outline. lighter blue tiles filled the other parts, making up an eye. huh. that was strange. and especially weird i hadn’t noticed before. in fact, last night i could’ve sworn they were just in standard check-board style. i felt kind of scared. you couldn’t deny it – it was freaky. just then, i heard the singing. it drew me, enticing me. as if in a dream, i placed my hand on the ‘pupil’ of the ‘eye’. with a grinding noise, the ‘pupil’ moved. i gasped and shook my head. the singing got louder, even more enticing. i had to get to it. i frantically prised away the tile and saw a… locket. a small, golden, heart locket. the front was inlayed with swirls and seven tiny gemstones, all different colours, decorated the front and back. it was… singing to me. i reached down and touched it. the singing stopped abruptly and a quicker-than-lightening show of pictures flashed through my head. a rising sun, but the sun was blood red. a huge oak tree, it’s roots stretched deep into the earth. a river with overflowing banks, rushing downstream. six stones rotated around a beautiful shining one. a guy about my age’s face, a scar cutting down he left side of his face. and eyes, single eyes, everywhere. made up of clouds, scratched into the sides of houses, etched in people’s skin. i opened my eyes. the locket lay in my palm. how much time had passed? i fumbled in my pocket for my phone. the time read six nineteen. what? i stared at the small numbers. it had been about eleven when i’d come it here. how had that happened? utterly terrified, i slid the tile back in to place. i looked at the locket for a long moment. then i threw it at the wall. i waited for the sound of it hitting the plaster. nothing. i looked, terrified, at my hand, to find the locket still there. it hadn’t gone. fear pulsed through me. how could this be? i chucked the locket again. it didn’t leave my palm, even when i turned my hand upside down. i bit my lip to keep from screaming. there had to be a logical explanation to this. maybe apollo put it here as a joke? very complicated joke. suddenly a weird feeling swept through me. like i was freezing and burning at the same time. i started to tingle, like someone was tickling me. a shock jarred me. and all the lights went off. it was getting dark, so it was pretty hard to see. there was a moment of silence, then i heard mum shrieking, dad shouting, and artemis and apollo giggling hysterically. i fumbled my way to the light switch, and flicked it. nothing. of course. i looked at my hand. the locket was gone. i scrabbled around on the floor, but found nothing. but something cut into the back of my neck as i leaned over. i raised my hand and felt the locket around my neck, cutting into my icy flesh… how'd you like it? please tell me in the answers. :) oh, and here's the blurb of the book: persephone chance is what you could call a city girl. so when her parents announce they're moving to a country called new zealand, she's horrified. but when seph arrives at crystal falls, strange things start to happen. the town is full of dark secrets and soon seph is too tangled in them to get free yeah thanks for reading! :) oh, if you spot any punctuation/grammar/spelling mistakes, i'm sorry.tips on being "scene"?
