Some questions frequently asked by users : good bible lessons for kindergartner/preschoolers?
me and my mom have to do a day care thing during church this sunday and we need a good bible lesson with activates for the kindergartner preschooler age group. it doesn't need to be very long, only about 40 minutes.preschool bible lesson craft - please read?
i have already googled this and have not come up with something i can use. i will be doing a lesson called "jesus healed the blind man" for preschoolers and need a craft activity that realtes to this- it can just be a "jesus heals" craft. i need the craft to be simple enough for preschoolersto do (with helpers) but not too simple that it takes no time to do it. any ideas? i am pretty flexible when it comes to what supplies we can use (no paints though) and i have a lot of prep time to get things cut out, printed up, prepared, etc. i like the idea of taking them to talk with blind people - unfortunately, i don't have the option of taking this class out anywhere. i am planning on bringing a blindfold and letting them lead each other around and try to navigate the room blindfolded and talk about the things they would miss seeing ifthey lost their sight. what i need is something besides a coloring sheet that the can make and take home to remind the of the lesson.i need a sunday school lesson for epiphany?
what is a good activity for epiphanywhat are some good arts and crafts for little kids?
for volunteer work im hosting a party for girl scouts ages 5-7 (there isn't much for young girls to do and at this age they normally don't make a fuss over what they are participating in) but i cant figure out what kinds of crafts to do for this age group. its a valentine's day party and everything is pink and red. the only crafts i could think of was coloring pages and a craft i remember doing at this age. we took tissue paper, crumpled it up and dipped it in glue, then stuck it to a hear shaped construction paper. only this used a lot of glue and im not sure i want the girls to be covered in glue for the party can you think of any good arts and crafts for 5-7 year old girl in valentine theme? preferably one that isn't extremely messy. the other thing is that this is my fundraiser for a larger project. im helping out the pinwheels project by donating stuff needed to children's hospitals. so any craft that could possibly in any way be used for the children's hospitals would be even better.upset about preschool easter discussion?
while i am not opposed to exposing children in preschool to the foundation of the easter topic, i am appalled that it is considered normal to discuss the topic of jesus being killed, beaten, hung on the cross, etc etc with my newly turned 5 year old. this entire week has been me dealing with constant questions about the subject - "did it hurt?' "why did go on the cross?" "why did they beat him?" endless barrage of questions with her not satisfied with my answers. they even talked about the nails in his hands. am i the only parent that feels this subject is not for the 4-5 year old preschool group???? the color page they sent home talks about killing, and jesus being 'dead'. i just can't believe they are this graphic with preschoolers. thank you for your replies. i am christian - the preschool/daycare is run by a church, so bible lessons are not a problem for me. the level of exposure of the details, is. i really do disagree with discussing graphic torture and murder of christ with 4 and 5 year olds. i know some kids are exposed to death at an early age, but i'm willing to bet that most parents are not excited about exposing their young children to the concept. i had an incident with a nun when i was in the 3rd grade - i won't go into details, but, the nun, in her defense, made the comment to my parents "if she's afraid to do 'xxxxx' now, what is she going to do when she get's married?" i was 8. just because a child will be exposed to whatever at some point in their life, doesn't mean we have to rush the process. just like i don't think kids at 10 should be having sex - they may be doing it one day, but there is an age and a time for things. i don't want to k.
